While some have generously described my speaking style as "inspiring," I see myself as an "enthusiastic" public speaker. I have had the opportunity to address both large and small audiences across various countries, appearing on television, radio, and in the blogosphere.
When I am invited to speak, my goal is to "educate, entertain, and evoke emotion," weaving in a touch of Irish wit and wisdom. People have referred to me as a "Seanachai," a term in Irish tradition that signifies an elder and storyteller who conveys values, rich oral histories, and knowledge to future generations.
Sometimes what is required is to tell one's own story - however I have learned it is better to tell the audience's story.
The storyteller's job is to capture the audience's interest, drop them into the story, and have them eagerly weave their way with you through it.

The ability to respond in the midst of challenging circumstances is the sign of a good leader. However, an even greater mark of distinction is when the leader has the foresight to prepare for crisis and calamity, and to establish business continuity plans, and to ensure they and their team are ready to respond.
